VCC Reachout PDF Print E-mail

VCC ReachOut is a ministry of Victory Christian Center that emphasizes three things. Street Witnessing, Evangelism Training and bringing Church to those who don’t go to Church.

Street Ministry

VCC ReachOut started out with a small group of people witnessing on the streets of downtown Youngstown and on the campus of Youngstown State University. Over the past year thousands of Gospel Tracts have been handed out and hundreds of conversations have taken place where the seed of God’s Word has been planted in the lives of people and brought them one step closer to salvation through Jesus Christ. Now VCC ReachOut has regular street ministry happening on the streets and in Housing Projects in Youngstown, Warren and New Castle.

Church Team

The Street Ministry began to connect with a group of people who live in the International Towers building in downtown Youngstown. Most of the people who live there have very limited access to transportation and would most likely, not be able to attend church or anywhere else that would have the gospel preached. God began to deal with us about bringing Church to these people and a team of people quickly came together to make this happen in an awesome way. The need to bring this type of ministry to more communities like International Towers (and more often) is great.

Training

VCC ReachOut continually offers an eight week training course based on the award-winning TV series “The Way of the Master” hosted by Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort. The course is specially formatted to train believers to simply and confidently share the gospel with family, friends, and strangers. These lessons will teach you to overcome your fears by using a proven, powerfully effective way to make the gospel make sense.

counselingWonderful Counselor, Mighty God!

Luke 4:18 tells us that Jesus was anointed to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free. At Victory, we know that people will only be set free from their hurts and pains by seeking the True Counselor, Jesus Christ.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3

Victory offers free biblical counseling to regular attendees. Our desire is to help people discover the healing power in Christ and to see them restored and walking in His wholeness. The counseling team offers one on one biblical counseling in many different areas including:

Marital
Premarital
Family
Individual

When do I go for Counsel?

Most people wait too long to go for counsel. They wait until the problem is of such crisis proportions that it is almost too late to do anything more than damage control.

The time to seek help is:

black-horizontal-spacer When you feel increasingly discouraged and confused about life.

When you feel that something is bothering you, but you aren't sure what it is.

When you feel that everyone is against you.

When you find yourself unable to get a handle on your anger, fear, worry, or sleeplessness.

When you keep hearing from others that you're being unreasonable or insensitive.

When you find yourself thinking seriously about how to get out of your commitment to a relationship or a job.

When you are wrestling with an issue that will have significant effects on yourself and others around you.

When you are unable to change behavior that is harming yourself or others.

When you have secret compulsions that feel out of control.

When there is a pain within yourself that is not being resolved by the normal channels of asking forgiveness, admitting you've been wrong and seeking reconciliation.

When you keep having thoughts of not wanting to live.

If you are in need, we are here to help you! Please contact Sarah at the office to make an appointment. 330.536.2127.
